Come for a visit! We meet at 10am every Sunday at 101 B Ephesus Church Rd., near the Eastgate Shopping Center in Chapel Hill.
Although the official meeting starts at 10am on Sundays, we gather a little early to sip some coffee and enjoy some good conversation. We begin with a few songs of worship, usually about God or directed to him. If you don’t know the song it’s ok—sing along with the words provided or just sit back and listen. Then we have a welcome and some announcements, followed by a 35-40 minute talk based on a text from the Bible, with the goal of being clear and applicable to our lives. After that we sing another song and have a time for people to give or receive prayer. Once a month, we also observe the Christian tradition of the Lord’s Supper together in remembrance of Jesus’s last meal with his disciples and his death on the cross. Overall, things tend to be fairly relaxed and un-hyped. After church, people usually go out for lunch, hang out, and enjoy one another’s company.
Visiting a church can be intimidating, we know. We’ve all been there. At Greenleaf we aim to be welcoming and sensitive to all people, whatever background or experiences they may come from.
