What can I expect on a Sunday morning?
Right now Greenleaf Kids Church is set up as a “one and a half-room schoolhouse.” We have lots of fun with children from 6months to 11years! When you get here, you’ll sign-in with the teacher and meet the other two assistants. They will help direct you to the space that best fits your developmental needs. While you’re here you’ll play, pray, hear a story from the Bible, sing, dance & worship, make crafts, learn about Jesus, and make new friends! Our Kids Church room opens at 9:45am, and your teacher and assistants will be here with you until your parent comes back to pick you up, usually around 11:15am.

Who are my teachers?
Your teachers each week are committed members of Greenleaf who are excited about children and helping you learn more about Jesus! Although it is a small ministry, all of our teachers and staff have undergone training and background checks, and most of them are professional educators and/or professional moms and dads!

What about a Nursery? Tweens? Teens?
Right now we don’t have a specific ministry designed for these ages, but come visit anyway! We’d LOVE to accommodate your family in any way that we can. We welcome babies under 6 months and children over 11 years to come in with their parents to the adult service, but we may be able to work something out for you in the Kids Church too if you’d rather. Just ask the Kids Church teacher for help deciding where to go.

Kids and Weekly Small Groups
Home groups and the men’s and women’s groups are the most important ministries at Greenleaf for adults to build community and care for the soul. These groups are all grown-up groups. The Durham group has on-site childcare and beds for sleepy kids if 7pm or there abouts is bedtime for you. Contact Jenn Aguilar for more information on the Durham group.

This year we’d love to develop moms/dads play-date groups, family-oriented home groups, and new parent groups. If you have interest in any of these, please contact Angela Otero: (919)360-1113, angela@greenleafvineyard.org. When we have a clear and felt need for these, we’d love to make them happen.

Greenleaf Kids Ministry exists to
Honor God through providing a setting where God’s littlest people can get together to sing & worship, learn how to be genuine Jesus followers, and encourage them to do the stuff of the Kingdom of God.
Love the Community through the natural evangelical gift kids have; children posses the ability to love people and create meaningful relationships in the pure way that adults sometimes forget.
Live like Family by treating every member of Kids Church (teachers, children, and parents) like he or she is a valuable, safe, and welcome part of the Kids Church family.

We envision ourselves years from now a vibrant, multi-age, multi-level children’s ministry with both Sunday worship in the form of Kids Church and weekly/monthly projects, get-togethers, outreaches, and fellowship times. We’ll still be striving to live like a family would as we grow to honor our God and learn to reach out to others who don’t know Jesus yet.
